Meet - Week 3
Meet Three Theme - Rock and Roll!
We can't wait to see your creativity. We invited HW to participate, so let's show them how we have fun with our swim team family.
We will be swimming at home against Hanarry West. Our seating area is on the wall side of the pool. We leave the lake side and turn end available for the visiting team.
Entries and heat sheets are attached to this email. Heat sheets will also be available on the Swimtopia app tomorrow.
Warm ups begin at 5:30 when we are the home team. We ask that you have your swimmers ready for warm up by 5:15, with their name and events marked up.
Concessions will be available for purchase, including Chick-fil-A sandwiches! You are also welcome to bring your cooler along with you. Please remember to refrain from glass items and observe the league’s policy of no alcohol on the pool deck.
The team area is on the tennis courts behind the pool. You may enter by walking out the gate at the start end of the pool and taking the walkway to the left to the tennis court gate. All swimmers will be called for races in the team area only. If you have young swimmers please plan to stay with them in the team area. As a reminder, no food/beverage allowed on the tennis courts. Please refrain from writing on the courts with chalk or other items. Running, climbing on nets or walls, and other potentially dangerous play is not allowed. Swimmers are required to stay in the marked area. Please bring items that will encourage play in their area such as cards or other similar games.
Please check the work assignments attached to this email. We do not load our work schedule into Swimtopia. Information you may see on your app is incorrect. The information we send out is the correct set of assignments. All meet workers are required to check in with Brian Christopherson upon arrival. He will be under the tent near the scoring room on the pool deck.
It is VERY important that you not leave the meet without checking with a coach. Relays are a very important part of a meet. If your swimmer is entered in a relay, the team is relying on them to be there. If there is an unavoidable circumstance and your swimmer cannot swim the relay, please inform a coach. In such a situation, we would attempt to find an available swimmer. So, even if your swimmer is not entered in a relay, they could be called upon to sub. This is very important for the whole team.
Fun practice will be on Saturday at 1:30. We will give out ribbons, eat donuts, and have lots of fun with teammates and coaches. We hope you will all join us for this popular practice.
Please make sure you are subscribed for team text messages! To do so, simply text @schsharks to 81010. If there is a weather related delay during the meet, that is the quickest way we can communicate with you. In the event of a weather delay, you will be asked to go to your car to wait it out. Please DO NOT leave the meet. We will make every effort to complete the meet, and have a specific protocol to follow from the league. We will keep you informed via Remind.
If you have questions, please see a parent board member on the pool deck, or feel free to email us. We are here to help you!
See you at the pool,
Adrienne & Amy
